Bank History
Wadena State Bank is a locally-owned, independent bank, chartered in 1917 by W.J. Browne. The location and name of the bank have changed over the years, but the Browne family legacy continues. J.M. Browne (Jack) purchased the bank from his father in 1965 and held the position of President for thirty years. In 1995, Jack's sons, C.J. (Kip) Browne and Jeffrey A. Browne, purchased the bank and are the current owners.
